THE Northwich Soul Club recently held a charity soul night in aid of St Luke’s Hospice, and in memory of my son Greg Mann.
This is the second time that this event has been held and once again it was a great success.
Our family wanted to find a way to thank everyone who worked so hard to put this event together, and to all the wonderful people who supported it. We decided that the best way was to send an open letter to the widely read Guardian to say how much we appreciated the efforts.
So thanks go to Roger, Derek and Doug who gave their time, equipment and music. It was their idea to start these nights in memory of Greg and they do a great job.
A mention to Sue, who is on the door and greets everyone and makes them welcome when they arrive.
She also looks after the raffle and thanks go to those who gave generously to the raffle prizes.
I would like to thank those people who came and said such kind things about Greg, but most of all, thanks to the Soulees who made the evening such a success. If I may quote Greg: ‘keep on dancing and keep the faith’.
