WELL, they had to tell us sometime.
I believe it was Jo Moore and Stephen Byatt who buried bad news.
Northwich Vision has been steeped in bad news from the start, we are now left with a £38m underground tip, without a landscaping job on the surface.
What has been the true cost of this folly?
How much money has been sucked into the various departments of the local council’s budgets, only to be spewed out as wasted effort and expenditure on this proposal.
The town now looks more like the East End of London after the Second World War, with expanses of waste ground, derelict buildings, hotels, and pubs.
All concerned in this project have undermined the expectations of the Northwich and district inhabitants, and deserve little respect for the lamentable inaction delivered on our behalf.
