JUST a few questions that have been bothering me for some time!
What did happen to the swimming pool/leisure centre once mentioned for Middlewich? Is it lack of land, if so why is it there is always land available for undesirable projects. If it is lack of money surely it is time Middlewich got a decent return from the council, as no one I know knows the last good thing that was done for the town. Maybe the council just wants to keep the wealthy residents of Alderley Edge happy with the new bypass.
Is the Middlewich bypass ever going to happen? Both the pool and bypass were proposed over 10 years ago and are among the reasons I moved to the town.
Why is it not possible to use the footpath on Booth Lane due to vehicles parked on it (some time ago I had to walk down the road with a pushchair at 5pm). I reported it to the council, the council said report it to the police, the police said report it to the PCSO, at which point I gave up. Maybe if you have to park on the road due to the residential caravan in the garden the caravan should be move on to one of the many caravan sites.
Why do people think the incinerator would bring jobs to the town? Have they thought how many jobs it will cost with a large food distribution centre between two waste disposal sites? I won’t shop from Tesco ever again if they go ahead, neither would others I have spoken to.
Why are there several custody vans a day coming to and from the custody suite? Surely it would be cheaper for us all if they were kept in the station cells not bussed around the county all day.
So are the people of Middlewich just a pushover or is it time rolling roadblocks were started to wake the council/planners up, as residents are beginning to get a bit fed up.
Why are there so many children out of school during term time?
Glad I got all that off my chest!
