AS VISITORS to Northwich, my wife and I, and some friends decided to have a walk along the Flashes. What a lovely walk this could have been, except for the dog walkers who cannot pick up after their pets.
The amount on the paths was disgraceful, some owners did pick up after their dogs, with those black bags but then flung it into the trees to hang around for days on end.
We were totally disgusted, and after 10 minutes we left the area, never to return.
What's the answer, ban dogs from the Flashes? Or insist that dogs are on a lead, but the council must do their bit too by providing dog bins, as we did notice that there were none around.
