I HAVE just been reading an article regarding Cheshire East Council rejecting a plea for a later bus service in Middlewich, Guardian, August 13.
I am an ex-Crewe, Weaverham and Northwich resident, now residing in Blackpool and was recently in Leighton Hospital for treatment.
A patient from Middlewich told me that the bus service for her husband to visit her in hospital at night was not good.
At the weekend he had to get a taxi home at a cost of £30 one way. That may be ok if you are someone earning big money.
Councillors should be told that they work for the people and to give the people a public service.
I say, bring back Cheshire County Council and a proper bus service.
