YOUR article on page 10 of September 17 issue states “the first tea dance in the Northwich area”, which we think is quite misleading.
A tea dance was held every Wednesday afternoon in the Memorial Hall, Northwich until it was closed earlier this year.
Keith and Eve now run one every Wednesday afternoon at the Owley Wood Club, Weaverham.
We have been running one on the third Sunday of each month at Wincham Community Centre and have been doing so for more than ten years now.
We are also starting easy old time sequence at Lostock Church Hall on the third Thursday of each month.
We are sure that there are others in the area as well and we all cater for retired people who like gentle exercise in good company with easy dancing at very little cost, with tea and biscuits included.
