THE horrendous acts of child abuse which have taken place in many areas of England have appalled me.
What has happened to our most vulnerable children is far more important than party politics, so I am offering to lead a cross-party delegation to meet representatives of Cheshire Police and Cheshire West and Chester Council to answer three key questions.
First, what knowledge do Cheshire Police and CWAC have of historic complaints from children about abuse?
Second, are there any current complaints of abuse under investigation?
And finally, what procedures are in place so that complaints in the future are fully and meticulously investigated, regardless of the background of the perpetrators of these vile acts?
I would also like to invite anyone with knowledge of historical acts of abuse, or a failure of the authorities to act on information received, to contact me directly at ukipcheshirewest@gmail.com.
UKIP will guarantee their anonymity, if this is what they wish, and will ensure that information provided is acted on for the good of the children.
