ALL four games involving the teams in and around Northwich were called off today, Saturday.
1874 Northwich’s trip to Newcastle Town in the Northern Premier League West fell through due to the weather conditions late this morning, as have all but two of the games in the division.
Placed in 12th position, 1874 can now look ahead to hosting City of Liverpool next Saturday.
In the Northern Premier League – Premier division, Witton Albion’s prepared for the visit of Stafford Rangers but a waterlogged pitch but a halt to that.
A new date for the game will be announced in due course, but their attention now turns to Tuesday when they are set to host Morpeth Town.
In the North West Counties, Northwich Victoria were due to play Wythenshawe Town in an away fixture in the Premier Division, but that was also postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Vics will welcome Prestwich Heys next weekend.
And completing the quad of called off games, in the First Division South, despite early signals that the game would be on today, Barnton’s trip to Abbey Hey was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
And next weekend they have another away trip, this time to Eccleshall.
