FOLLOWING Tuesday night’s replays, Witton Albion will join 1874 Northwich in the FA Cup first qualifying round but Northwich Victoria are out.
Albion showed some steel to fight back from conceding the first goal and then going on to win 3-1 at home against South Liverpool.
Joe Duckworth (32mins) and Elliot Rokka (42mins) got Witton’s noses in front before the interval.
It was only in the 88th minute that Ben Harrison’s men could breathe easier thanks to 19-year-old Liverpudlian midfielder Reece Daly netting his first goal for the club in the 88th minute.
Witton’s reward is a home tie against City of Liverpool on Saturday, August 31.
Vics were defeated 4-2 at home by Barnoldswick Town in their preliminary round replay.
Will Procter bagged a hat-trick for the visitors, who led 3-0 at the 57th minute mark.
Although Sam Unwin pulled a goal back in the 65th minute, Procter completed his treble three minutes later and Max Leeson’s effort in the fourth minute of added time was nothing more than a consolation for Vics.
Barlick will progress to visit Lancaster City in the next round.
