THEY may already have been consigned to relegation, but Witton Albion at least rounded off a disappointing season in fine style this afternoon.
Carl Macauley's side's five-year stay in the Northern Premier League's top flight was brought to an end on Monday, but their final game of the season this afternoon saw them thrash Basford United 4-0 at the U Lock It Stadium.
Albion were 3-0 up by half-time against the side that finished directly above them thanks to goals from James Lawrie, Joe Mwasile and Cesaire Lingouba.
Isaac Baldwin rounded off the scoring just after the break.
Meanwhile, 1874 Northwich's first season as a Northern Premier League side saw them finish 12th in the West Division.
Their final game of the season saw them beaten 1-0 at Mossley, for whom Louis Potts scored the winner just shy of the hour mark.
