WITTON called on former Football League front man Aaron Taylor for their home draw with Harrogate Railway Athletic on Saturday.
The ex-Morecambe man made his debut alongside top scorer Andy Kinsey in attack after switching from Evo-Stik League Premier Division club Kendal Town.
He stood in for injured pair Carl Frost (calf) and Ashley Stott (hamstring).
“We’re depleted,” admitted manager Paul Ogden.
“With two strikers out injured we needed to act fast and Aaron was available.”
The 20-year-old striker, whose father David also played for Morecambe, left the Shrimps at the end of last season.
