FA CUP heroes Northwich Victoria will host Football League opposition once more in the competition’s second round.
A date with League Two outfit Lincoln City, who won at Vics’ Blue Square North foes AFC Telford United yesterday, is their reward for beating former Premier League giants Charlton Athletic.
“It’s a brilliant draw once again,” said Vics owner Jim Rushe.
“I know everybody says it, but we wanted to be at home and after what’s happened today we will fancy beating anybody here.”
Andy Preece’s men have been handed home advantage in each of their four matches – against Bardon Hill Sports, Chorley, FC United of Manchester and Charlton Athletic – so far in this season’s competition.
Next time a win will be worth £27,000.
Vics’ share of this season’s FA Cup’s prize fund, once they exit administration of course, is now worth £42,500.
The Imps, bossed by former England and Blackburn Rovers front man Chris Sutton, are due in town on Saturday, November 28, kick off 3pm.
