NORTHWICH Victoria will sell tickets for their televised FA Cup first round clash with Charlton Athletic on Sunday right up until kick off.

The Blue Square North hosts have repeated their call for supporters to buy their passes before the weekend to avoid unnecessary queues on match day.

Admission prices will be the same as for league matches.

The club’s office, which Vics hope will be manned by extra volunteers at the weekend, will open at 10am on Sunday too.

Tickets will be on sale tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday until 8pm and again between 10am and 4pm on Saturday.

Supporters can also drop in to Level 1, on Witton Street, in the town centre to buy a ticket.

This week Vics have launched a new online ticket ordering service, which they hope will save supporters time on match days.

Run using software designed by internet giant Google, it enables fans to pay for their pass in advance.

They can then present their e-ticket as proof of payment before kick off.

“We think it’s an idea people will like,” said owner Jim Rushe.

“Our aim is to improve supporters’ match day experience all the time. We’ve learned a lot from hosting FC United here and also from making our home games all-ticket.

“It won’t be perfect straight away, but that won’t stop us working hard to improve things when they need to be made better.”

Vics, watched by 2,615 when they saw off FC United of Manchester in last month’s fourth qualifying round, are expecting another bumper gate.

The stadium record, set when Vics beat Stafford Rangers to clinch the Conference North title in April 2006, remains at 3,154.

Charlton have been sent an initial allocation of 1,250 places, most of those on the Danebank terrace.

Meanwhile Vics’ Blue Square North match against Corby Town, scheduled for Saturday, will now be rearranged.

No date has been set.
