NORTHWICH Victoria will sell tickets for their crunch FA Cup clash with FC United of Manchester from Tuesday.

The Blue Square North hosts today urged supporters to buy their passes before the weekend to avoid unnecessary queues on matchday.

“We’ve tried to make it as easy as possible for everybody,” said general manager Dave Thomas.

“The club will sell tickets until early evening every day up until the game to give people a chance to avoid waiting too long to enter the ground.”

Thomas said Vics are prepared for the biggest crowd to watch a match at the Victoria Stadium since April 2006, when the hosts beat Stafford Rangers in front of more than 3,000 people to win the Conference North title.

Admission prices will be the same as for league matches and not – as advertised on the Rebels’ official website – at reduced rates.

The ticket office, which Vics hope will be manned by extra volunteers next weekend, will open at 10am on Saturday too.

Fans’ first chance to reserve their place at the Victoria Stadium for the visit of Karl Marginson’s men will be before kick off for Tuesday’s Mid-Cheshire FA Senior Cup quarter final clash with neighbours Middlewich Town, when the office will open at 6pm.

Tickets will be on sale until 7pm every day afterwards.

Vics’ Blue Square North match against Blyth Spartans, scheduled for the same day, will now be rearranged. No date has yet been set.

Should next Saturday’s match end in a draw then Andy Preece’s men will head to Bury’s Gigg Lane the following Wednesday, October 28, kick off 7.45pm, for a replay.

Ticket office will be open from 6pm until kick off next Tuesday, October 20 then from 9.30am until 7pm every day until Saturday. It reopens on matchday at 10am.
