Match Pointers
WITTON Albion bid for a place in the second qualifying round against fellow Step Four outfit Sutton Coldfield Town, who play in the Zamaretto Southern League Division One Midlands.
Gary Finley will leave it until the last minute to check on the fitness of Mike Moseley (groin), who missed the midweek UniBond League President’s Cup win at Prescot Cables.
Keeper Joe Clegg remains a doubt after missing the same game through injury, so Peter Kennedy stands by for a second start.
Stuart Rudd, who netted the winner in Tuesday’s 2-1 win, may continue in attack if Moseley does not make it, leaving Paul Booth to line up alongside Brian Pritchard in the back line.
Opponents Sutton have fared better in knockout matches than they have in league competition this term.
Chris Keogh’s men have won only one of their seven league games, leaving them in the bottom four.
However they reached the third qualifying round of the FA Cup before bowing out at Lowestoft Town in midweek following a replay.
Their win tally in that competition stands at two.
