WINNINGTON PARK were hammered 89-15 at in-form Sandbach.
As a result, Park have now conceded more points in matches than any other Regional 2 North West side this season.
The hosts, who went into the contest third in the league having won seven of their nine games, were 28-0 ahead before Park scored their first points.
Winnington were 35-5 adrift by half-time with a rearranged squad due to player unavailability and there was no way back for them.
Sandbach crossed for another three converted tries before Park claimed their second try.
And four more tries were scored ahead of Winnington’s third and final unconverted try in the 76th minute.
Park worked hard in the early stages in both defence and attack, and released Jack Fenner on the wing on a couple of occasions.
But on nine minutes Sandbach showed their strength and scored their first converted try.
Errors then crept into Park’s performance and the hosts took full advantage, secured their bonus-point fourth try by the 30-minute mark.
Park did get a breakthrough on 33 minutes with a sustained attack thanks to strong carries from the forwards and quick ball from the ruck.
Phil Lynch made a break and offloaded in a tackle to for Fenner to score in the left corner for his first try in Park colours.
But Park were 56-5 behind by the time they scored again after 54 minutes.
Sandbach were caught offside on their 22 and Park kicked for the corner, secured the lineout ball and set up a maul from which Anthony Hopley peeled off the back and scored his first for the club.
But the pressure continued to come from Sandbach as they marched on to 82-10.
Park continued to fight until the final whistle and were rewarded with a third try on 76 minutes when great counter rucking by Matty Davenport and Phil Lynch secured a penalty and Richard Hart took a quick tap, passed to Jack O’Neill who fed Alex Burrage and he put wing Charlie Dexter over.
Sandbach secured the last points of the game on 79 minutes.
