NATHAN Brassington is gearing up to compete for England Schools this weekend.
The 16-year-old from Norley has been selected to contest the Schools International Athletics Board indoor pentathlon in Glasgow.
He will put his talent in the 60m hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and 800m to the test against the cream of talent from England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland on Saturday.
His selection reflects the success he had while being a student at Weaverham High School.
Nathan, who started at Sir John Deane's Sixth Form College in September, won the North West Schools Championships which qualified him for the national final.
And he finished in the top four in the national final to secure selection for his country.
Nathan, who is a member of West Cheshire Athletics Club and Sale Athletics Club, started in athletics at school and represented England in the junior boys pentathlon while also competing in the shot put in the English Schools Athletics Championships finals.
