ONE title is already in the bag and David Carson has his sights on more as the curtain falls on the 60th season of racing at Darley Moor Sports Centre near Ashbourne in Derbyshire this weekend.

Northwich rider Carson, who has already been crowned the Twin Cylinder 655-700cc champion in the Darley Motor Cycle Road Club series of events, holds a 26-point lead over Winsford’s Nick Clare going into the final round of the Darley Cup.

Carson is also in with a chance of the Open 600cc title, currently sitting in third place, 25pts behind leader Mark Goodings and four points adrift of Joe Holdsworth (Huddersfield).

Clare is also in the mix in the Pre-Electronic 600cc class, 12 points behind Barnsley’s Adam Sheriff who has already secured the title in the Forgotten Era & Classic Up To 1300cc category.

Saturday and Sunday is the RICHARDSON Stars weekend, with a bumper programme consisting of 42 races over the two days.

Both days will see the on-track action get underway at 10am, with racing scheduled to start at 12.20pm.

Day ticket prices for Saturday and Sunday are £15 adults, £12 seniors and free for children under 16 in advance, with on-the-gate prices of £18 adults and £15 seniors, children under 16 free.

Weekend tickets are £28 adults, £22 seniors and free for children under 16 in advance, and on-the-gate prices £34 adults, £28 seniors, children under 16 free.
