LEIGH Hadfield has achieved a significant archery triumph.
The Winnington Park Bowmen archer was crowned English Target Champion at the Cheshire Weekend event held in Wirral.
This event attracted archers from all over the country, competing for trophies and qualification scores at what is a world-record status shoot held over two days.
It was a challenging weekend of archery in some difficult weather conditions but Hadfield pulled together all of his knowledge and training to achieve a great set of results.
Not only did he take the English Target title, he was also crowned Cheshire Champion (WA1440), Cheshire Champion (Double WA720) and received the 90-metre gold distance award.
Two more of the club’s archers competed in Wirral and enjoyed success.
Ian Garton won gold in the long bow masters category Michelle Oakes earned silver in the women’s recurve.
