NORTHWICH Victoria were on the wrong end of a 3-0 scoreline in their opening home league game of the 2024/25 season.
Vics, 2-1 winners at Uttoxeter Town on Saturday, were tamed by Whitchurch Alport at Barton Stadium on Wednesday night.
The visitors hit the front after nine minutes and sealed their success in the 79th and 96th minutes.
Vics were the better side for 30 minutes of the second half but could not find the back of the net before conceding a killer second goal.
Manager Matt Barnes made two changes to Saturday’s starting line-up, with Dylan Switters and Callum Parker coming in to replace Mackenzie Faulkner and Marcus Perry.
