WINSFORD United climbed to third place in North West Counties Football League First Division South thanks to their victory at Cheadle Heath Nomads last night.
Former Alsager Town defender Elliott Coleman put them ahead in the 48th minute and club stalwart Danny Kerr wrapped up the 2-0 win with his first goal of the season in the 85th minute.
It leaves Blues unbeaten on the road at the start of the new season, having now gone four games without defeat under new joint managers Dom Johnson and Dean Jones.
Their only loss so far came on the opening day of the new campaign at home to Alsager Town, who have won five from five under joint manager and former Winsford boss Lee Duckworth to leave them in top spot.
Winsford will host Foley Meir on Saturday and then visit Barnton next Wednesday.
