A NORTHWICH cheerleading club are jumping for joy over their recent success.
Team and individual achievements were recorded by Apex Cheer while competing in the Cheer4All International Championships in Milan, Italy.
“We had some amazing success,” said Megan Sutton, owner and founder of Apex Cheer which is based at Comberbach Memorial Hall and The Grange Senior School.
“We won three gold medals, with our junior team beating the USA, and we also got a third in a solo.
“And we got grand champions as well which is the highest score for all of the cheerleading competition - an amazing achievement!”
The success mounted up despite the Apex girls tackling conditions they are not used to.
“Training and competing was in conditions of 36 degrees with no air con as well,” said Megan.
“The girls were amazing and true champions!”
