WINSFORD Town emerged victorious in the clash of neighbours to lift the Mid-Cheshire District Saturday Challenge Cup.

Town won 2-0 at Middlewich Town in the final played at the Witches' Seddon Street home ground thanks to goals from Rob Hopley and James Dean.

That sparked wild celebrations among the Winsford players and their supporters, who formed part of a big crowd to witness the occasion.
