ON what was an emotional night at Barton Stadium, Winsford United paid tribute to their leading goalscorer Ross Aikenhead.
Thursday's game against Ashville was Blues' first home game since the forward's passing, which was announced over the Easter weekend.
A book of condolence was opened for supporters to sign at the ground and a minute's applause was held before kick off, with a floral wreath placed in the centre circle.
The Winsford players carried the number 10 shirt Aikenhead wore for them out onto the field, with the shirt later presented to his family.

Once the game got underway, Blues produced a performance befitting the occasion as they won 4-0 to boost their bid to avoid the drop.
They were 3-0 up at half time thanks to goals from Ashley Leather, Leandro Tanswell Vargas and Dylan Woods, with Kieran Frost adding a fourth goal just after the interval.
Blues are back at home on Saturday as they host Cammell Laird 1907.
