THE Mid-Cheshire Table Tennis League season has drawn to a close, with a familiar name at the top of Division One.
The “Wreckers” team won the league’s top division for the third season running, with “Tigers” as the runners-up.
And there was individual joy for Wreckers player Terry Turner, who won the individual open singles title for a record tenth time, beating Paulina Szewczyk in the final held at the league’s presentation night at Winnington Park Recreation Club.
Division Two was won by “Labrats,” who were a new entry for this season, with “Smashers” the runners-up while Victoria 1 edged out Lemmings in a close final to win the Mike Johns Knockout.
The junior singles tournament was won by Lawrence Rathbone, who beat Rafael Wong in the final.

Veteran Doubles – Winner: Dave Southall/Ray Worthingon. Runner-up: Craig Lee/Fa Ho Fu
Drawn Doubles – Winner: Paulina Szewczyk/Will Berkley. Runner-up: Vaikun Venkat/Martin Selby
Junior Singles – Winner: Lawrence Rathbone. Runner-up: Rafael Wong
Open Doubles – Winner: Craig Lee/Dave Worthington. Runner up: Will Berkley/Dave Etchells
Veteran Singles – Winner: Ray Worthington. Runner-up: Craig Lee
