GREAT Britain junior squad member Alfie Gallagher has topped off a marvellous 2023 campaign with a quality success.
The 16-year-old from Wincham came out on top in the British International Grand Prix in Manchester, in the art of freestyle wrestling.
That adds to the former Rudheath Senior Academy student's other freestyle wrestling successes of the year in the British Championships, the English Championships and the UK Open.
Gallagher also won several other grappling competitions in Brazilian Jui-Jitsu and Russian Sambo.
He also finished in second place in mixed martial arts in the Four Nations Tournament for England.
Gallagher aims to progress his wrestling in 2024 and compete in more MMA bouts.
He trains at The Y Club and SubZone Fight Academy in Manchester.
