A DAVENHAM teenager has booked her place in the national finals of a gymnastics event.
Edie Coyle, a Year 9 student from The County High School, did so thanks to her performance at the North West Classic Challenge Women's Artistic Gymnastics competition at Robin Park in Wigan at the weekend.
Coyle, who trains at Warrington Gymnastics Club, competed at gold level, which is the highest level at the Classic Challenge.
She came first overall for Cheshire and Merseyside and first overall for the North West, gaining gold medals on vault, floor, and beam while she gained a silver medal for the county on bars.
Coyle will now head up a team of six gold-level gymnasts from the north west who have qualified for the national team final in Guildford on December 9 and 10.
