YOUNG boxer Leland Skinkis is one step away from reaching the national semi-finals.
The 16-year-old from Lostock Green won the England Boxing North West 60kg title in Blackburn last month.
He moves on to compete in the national quarter-finals at Bolton Lads and Girls Club on Sunday.
Skinkis, who is home schooled, competes with West Wythenshawe Amateur Boxing Club.
He took up boxing two years ago and is unbeaten after seven fights.
