MEMBERS old and new from Northwich Rowing Club came together for the club’s annual awards night to celebrate achievements on and off the water.
The Mayor of Northwich Cllr Jane Thomas and Sir John Deane’s College principal Chris Atherton were on hand to present the awards at Castle Sports and Social Club, with the coveted George Musker Blade being won by Freddie Cushen.
Retiring chair Graham Jump gave an overview of all of the award winners, with the presentations followed by food and music into the night.
The award winners were as follows…
Bill Cotton Award for Volunteering – Steff Lundie
Simon Crouchley Award for Coach of The Year – Jennie Abdelaty
Eddie Phillips Award for Veteran of the Year – Mary Ozsanlav-Harris, Elaine Hempsted, Steph Cushen and Mel Benson
Grange Award for Endeavour – John Baxter
Chairman’s Award – Andy Pope
Salt of the Earth – Joanna Austin
Irvine Award for most improved sculler – Kai Jump
George Musker Award – Freddie Cushen
