CHESHIRE Gymnastics say their latest community event was probably the best they have hosted.
The club staged a huge display as part of the king's coronation celebrations, featuring five major disciplines of men's and women's artistic gymnastics, trampolining, tumbling and acrobatics.
A great atmosphere was created with all the gymnasts giving the British flags they carried in their procession to members of the audience to wave.
All of those taking part in the display received a special commemorative medal.
And the event raised £244.08 for The British Red Cross courtesy of a cake sale made up of sweet treats generously donated by club members.
"It was possibly the best community event we’ve ever hosted, such a wonderful positive atmosphere with all unsold cake gladly received by Manor Care Home in Middlewich," said Laura Hudson, director of Cheshire Gymnastics.
