SUCH are the levels of success being enjoyed by a squash club there are plans to expand.

Barnton Squash third team have just won promotion to the fourth division of the North West Counties League, after a winning run of 15 games.

This weekend they are in the play-off championship final against Macclesfield at the National Squash Centre in Manchester to decide who will be crowned overall league champions.

Next season the club are planning on starting a new team in the fifth division, such is the interest in the club over the past few years.

As such, in 2023/24, Barnton will have teams competing in the second, third, fourth and fifth divisions.

Should anyone want to play squash, Barnton Squash is now the only club in the area and they are based at Barnton Cricket Club, Barnfield Lane.
