WINNINGTON Park Hockey Club women's seconds are on course to follow their first string by gaining promotion.
One more win should be enough to secure second place thanks to Saturday's 6-0 success against Lymm fourths.
They are eight points clear, lying second, and one point behind North West Women's Division 5 South (Central) leaders Sandbach.
Charlotte Holt netted a hat-trick, with Jade Jackman, Helen Fowler and Eileen Miller (see video below) also scoring.
Meanwhile the women's firsts - crowned champions the previous week - maintained their season's 100 per cent record 4-1 at Chester.
Captain Rhona Logie, Loz Miller, Nic Hall and Helen Fowler hit the mark.
Park's men made it seven games unbeaten with a 0-0 draw at Lytham St Anne’s.
The men's seconds are looking good for second place in their league and are currently on a six-game winning streak.
In their latest encounter, they twice went behind to Whitchurch and at 2-1 goalkeeper Palin crucially saved a penalty flick
Park levelled before the break and took control in the second half, winning 5-2, with goals from Mark Leigh (see video below), Harry Garner, Tommy Johnson and Harrison Austin, two.
