NORTHWICH racer Pete Founds and his passenger Jevan Walmsley put their up and down season behind them at the Cadwell Park Sidecar Revival as they put on a dominant display, writes Ste McNorton.
Pete and Jev had put the No72 now Honda powered bike on pole by almost a second from the current championship leaders, but, when it came to race one, a mechanical failure during the green flag lap put them out of the race.
But like all good race teams, the lads would not be down about it as they got the bike ready for Sunday.
Race two would see Pete and Jev start at the back of the grid, but a demon start saw TF72 muscle past fellow riders and make up four places before the first bend.
They kept the pressure on, turning the screw all the time, lap after lap picking off bikes, until they were with the leaders.
Pete made light work of getting through into second but the hard charging leader Harry Payne was no easy target as he kept his lead, until the pressure forced him into a mistake and Pete and Jev took the lead.
The lads pulled away and with a lap to go out came the red flag, but TF72 still took a great win and fastest lap of the race.
