NORTHWICH Victoria have boosted their midfield depth.

Steve Wilkes has dipped into the market to bring 28-year-old central midfielder Jack Dorney to the club.

Ashton-under-Lyne born Dorney won two promotions in his time with Chorley, but started out at Bury where, after coming through the youth system, turned professional 12 years ago.

Since leaving Bury in 2009, he has represented Leigh Genesis, FC Halifax Town, Woodley Sports, AFC Fylde, Ashton United and most recently Trafford.
