Witton Albion v Bottesford Town (ko 3pm)

It’s been a disappointing campaign for mid Cheshire teams the FA Cup following the early exits of 1874 Northwich, Northwich Victoria and Winsford United.

That leaves Witton Albion flying the flag.

They enter the competition at the first qualifying round stage on Saturday, when lower-ranked Bottesford Town will be their guests.

It’s the Northwich club’s 100th appearance in the FA Cup, and they’ll want to mark it with a victory.

Barnton (at home to Ellesmere Rangers, ko 3pm)

The Villagers have had a testing start to life in the North West Counties League’s First Division South, losing five of seven fixtures to date.

A 2-1 win at Stockport Town a fortnight ago provided a boost, but they then lost 3-0 at home to Wythenshawe Town last time out.

Ellesmere Rangers have had a similarly painful adjustment, and have a single point from their first half-dozen games.

James McShane will be hoping his young side can kick-start their campaign.

And what about…

Middlewich Town v Greenalls PSO (ko 3pm)

With rivals above them in the table on duty in the Cheshire FA Amateur Cup, the Witches have an opportunity to close a gap to those in front.

They will have to be wary of their Warrington-based guests though, who have collected maximum points from three of their four away matches to date.

However Town have been impressive on home turf, scoring 21 goals in six games at Seddon Street.
