NORTHWICH Rowing Club celebrated what they believe to have been one of their best seasons yet during Sunday’s George Musker awards ceremony.
Great Britain international Lucy Burgess won the top honour for achievement after reaching the World Under 23s Championships final in the summer as part of a women’s quad.
The club’s members also lauded George Lawton as most impressive junior over the past 12 months, while Elaine Young picked up a veteran of the year prize.
The Irvine Trophy for most improved performer went to Claire Irons.
National schools champion Tom Swithenbank took home the Dennis Mills Coxing Trophy.
Husband and wife, Claire and Adam Webster, received an award in recognition of their work of the water.
The Grange Cup for Endeavour was presented to Gawin Cowell.
Welfare officer Lisa Murphy was hailed for her contribution, while Faith Murray was picked for the Salt of the Earth prize posthumously.
