GLADSTONE C are the only team in the Northwich and District League’s top flight to have won both their opening matches in the new season.

Champions Rudheath recovered from losing last week to squeeze past Gladstone B by the odd frame, Chris Cain potting all eight balls in a single visit to the table during his frame.
Bowling Green, conquerors of the men from Middlewich Road in their first fixture, came a cropper at home to Barn Owl C.
Elsewhere, both side representing Castle Private celebrated maiden victories.
Steve Moores held his nerve to win a deciding frame for Castle B against The Elms, while Castle A beat Gladstone A.
Chapels, promoted last season as Division Three champions, extended a winning sequence to three matches at a higher level following a 6-1 win at Iron Bridge.
Another newly-promoted side, Lion A, secured a fine win against Barn Owl B – a team that played in Division One last season.
Greenbank C lost to Greenbank A, suffering a first defeat, while Moulton Legion recovered from back-to-back reverses to win 5-2 at Witton Chimes.
Wheatsheaf remain without a success after going down to village neighbours Owley Wood B.
Nectar’s and Greenbank B are the only teams in Division Three to have unblemished records, the former occupying first place in the standings after beating Lion B.
Barn Owl E are in second spot following a comfortable home win against Blue Barrel B, while Blue Barrel A lost heavily to previously winless Witton Chimes B.
Elsewhere Greenbank B crushed Green Dragon B, while Davenham Legion continued a promising start when they recorded a second win.
