Match Pointers
WITTON will be desperate to improve on a results record in the FA Cup that has seen them lose three of their past four ties.
They exited last season’s edition at this stage, though have only bowed out against lower-ranked opponents once in a decade.
Newly-appointed manager Anthony Sheehan, who picked the team officially for the first time ahead of a midweek defeat at home to Curzon Ashton, is again without injured defender Sam Barnes (hamstring).
However striker Michael Koral is fit again after breaking a toe in a pre-season friendly.
Josh Hancock, on loan from AFC Telford United, has been refused permission by his parent club to take part.
The teams have met before in a knockout competition, Joe Shaw scoring the only goal in a Cheshire FA Senior Cup tie in January 2013.
Hosts Runcorn, managed by former Witton player Simon Burton, have yet to progress beyond this stage in three previous attempts.
They defeated North West Counties League rivals Bootle in this season’s extra preliminary round, then sent out Evo-Stik Northern Premier League outfit Goole following a replay last time out.
It finished 1-1 when they entertained Albion during a pre-season friendly.
