KINGSLEY could not make safe their place in Division Two on Saturday following a draw with Winnington at the Croft.
It leaves them 14 points clear of Langley, who occupy the second relegation place, ahead of the season’s final round.
The hosts racked up 181-5 after being put in on Saturday, Ben Stoddart (86) and Ed Leneghan (45) sharing in a second-wicket partnership worth 114 runs. Rob Begbie took 3-28.
Winnington reached 133-6 in reply.
Barnton’s hopes of being promoted to the top flight are over following a draw at Ashley, where the home team scored 180-7 after winning the toss.
Jake Cairns (52) and Subtain Baig (36) added 102 runs for the fifth wicket, while Neil Langham claimed 3-36.
The visitors lost early wickets in reply, struggling to 107-8 by the close after Adam Garrod (54) contributed a half-century.
Relegated Oakmere drew a high-scoring encounter at Malpas, who they dismissed for 214 with Nick Guest (3-68) the pick of the bowlers.
The men from Overdale Lane were on course to win after Alex Hodges (74) and Tom Cristofani (63) shared in a second-wicket partnership worth 118 runs.
However the visitors lost momentum following their dismissals and fell five runs short of victory at 210-8.
In Division Three, Winsford lost by three runs against Wirral at Knights Grange.
Chasing 167 to win, David Potts (46) and Craig Webb (37) were among the runs before the hosts were dismissed for 163.
