NORTHWICH begin their latest bid to be promoted at home to Anselmians, who finished one place behind Blacks last season, while Winnington Park host Hoylake.
The fixtures for South Lancs/Cheshire Division One have been released, with the campaign set to start on Saturday, September 6.
After their opener at Moss Farm, Sam Naylor’s men visit Altrincham Kersal, relegated from North One West.
Winnington’s first away day is to Manchester, who avoided the drop last term only after Tyldesley had 13 points deducted from their total.
Northwich won both derby encounters in the league last season, including a 32-10 success at home March.
Their neighbours will cross the fence for a first head-to-head on October 11, with the return at Burrows Hill scheduled for January 31.
Winnington got one over on Blacks too, sending them out of the Cheshire RFU Vase after extra time in August.
They finished the campaign with four successive wins, their best run of results in the league since 2009, to match the previous year’s eighth-place finish.
Northwich, runners-up to promoted champions New Brighton, lost in the last minute of a promotion play-off at Bolton.
They led 18-14, only for a try in the final attack of the contest to deny them.
Liverpool St Helens join Altrincham in dropping down a level from North One West, while Manchester Medics and Bowdon have been promoted from South Lancs/Cheshire Division Two.
Meanwhile Wigan have moved across to North Lancs/Cumbria.
