MID-CHESHIRE suffered a second successive defeat in the senior county championship on Sunday, losing on aggregate against Burton & District.
They were victors by 41 chalks in the home tie at Rudheath, though a bigger margin between the teams in the away leg – this time a loss by 55 – led to them missing out overall in the Section Two encounter.
In last week’s County Average Winners Classic at Tarleton, Tamsin Birkett (Wharton Cons) and Elle Winnington (Castle Private) both exited at the second round stage.
