JAMES East crashed out of the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship race at Snetterton on Sunday along with several other riders after slipping on fluid.
He had been on course for a top 10 finish on board a Kawasaki prepared by Northwich-based Opus Energy Brabus Racing Team.
His machine was too damaged to make the start for a re-run sprint later in the day.
“We decided it was best to withdraw rather than risk a blown engine or another accident,” said team boss Shaun Boyle.
