The 2024 FA Community Shield is set to take place today (Saturday, August 10) and fans who won't be attending in person might want to know where they can watch it.

Taking place annually before the start of the regular season, the Community Shield is a fixture between the previous season's winners of the Premier League and the FA Cup.

In the event that the same team wins both then the league runners-up provide the opposition.

This year Manchester City will be taking part in their fourth Community Shield in a row after winning the Premier League for the fourth year in a row.

Manchester United will be their opponents, in a repeat of the FA Cup final, in which Erik ten Hag's side won 2-1.

It is the first time the two Manchester rivals have met in the Community Shield since 2011 when United won 3-2.

Wembley Stadium will once again play host to the season's curtain-raiser with turnstiles for fans opening from 1pm.

Which TV channel is showing the 2024 Community Shield?

Unlike most fixtures this season the Community Shield is available to watch on free-to-air TV, with ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player showing it.
