INITIALLY signed for Witton in August 2002 following a string of impressive performances for then perennial Mid-Cheshire League champions Barnton.

Having amassed a total of 140 appearances up until October 2006 – a figure that would have been much higher but for several spells out injured – Foy was loaned out to Vodkat North West Counties League Premier Division club Newcastle Town only for a further injury to take him out of the game.

Persuaded to return this summer, his pre-season displays earned him a deal and a second chance at Wincham Park.
