MIDDLEWICH will bid a fond farewell to a much loved high street store.
After seven happy years, Make My Day in Wheelock Street will close its doors for the final time as the family embark on new adventures.
Opened by Claire Darcy and mum Angela Heiron, business at the men’s occasionware shop is winding down as Claire, 32, prepares to take up a position as a teacher at Middlewich High School.
Angela, 53, of Glastonbury Drive, said it was a tough decision to come to but is looking forward to being a lady of leisure for a short while.
“We started doing it as a family and we’ve been doing it for seven years and so I don’t feel like I want to carry on without her.
“It’s not been an easy decision to make and it is a shame.
“We’ve seen a lot of friendly faces while we’ve been here, being right in the centre of town, you get to see all sorts.”
A closing down sale is now on instore but a definate date for closure has not yet been set.
