THE South West Cheshire District Scouts have received the green light to produce Crewe Gang Show 2010.

The new production team will be putting on next year's show at the Dane Bank Theatre from May 10 to 15.

The programme will include comedy, dancing, singing and big band music.

Auditions for the event will take place later this month.

The 2010 team will be headed by new producer Gav Jones, who was originally a cast member in Crewe Gang Show in the 80s.

Commenting on the challenge ahead, Gav said: "To be able to produce Crewe Gang Show 2010 is a dream come true for me.

"After being involved in scouting and the Gang Show as a child I remember clearly what it feels like to step out onto a stage and perform for the first time.

"The production and management team of Crewe Gang 2010 have designed a show to give young people from the scouting community across South Cheshire the opportunity to realise their dreams.

"And when tickets go on sale we will be hoping as many people from across the area come along for a tremendous night out and support our local talent.
