MOULTON councillors are investigating how to keep the village playing fields secure.
At the parish council’s latest meeting, clerk Elaine Beech reported the latest damage to the entrance.
She said: “One of the concrete bollards has been damaged and somehow rolled across the car park to the other side, which leaves quite a big gap.
“Once again the chain and padlock have been damaged and are lying on the ground.
“I contacted Northwich Town Council about extending the knee rail to within a couple of metres to the end of the fence to the play ground.
“We want to leave sufficient room for a double buggy but demonstrate the restriction of access.”
She said the problem was children playing on the chain.
