YOUNGSTERS with disabilities have the opportunity to enjoy some Friday Night Disco Fever, following a new initiative by the Cheshire Academy in Crewe.
At present the Academy gives hundreds of children and young adults the opportunity to take part in a whole range of sports and currently and currently runs a youth club for children with disabilities.
But following constant requests from the children themselves for their own disco, the centre has now organised one for Friday evenings.
Academy co-director Jane Whetnall said: “The children themselves thought of the name Friday Night Disco Fever and it is an ideal environment for them to meet and make new friends.
"They all dress up in their best disco outfits and dance to the latest releases.
"We have plenty of experienced staff on hand with many years of experience and it is great to see the youngsters having such a great time.”
The disco is being run every fortnight from 7pm to 8.30pm and costs £4.
There is a tuck shop on hand where children can buy non-alcoholic drinks and snacks.
