WOMEN are being warned to stay vigilant after two females were approached by a man acting suspiciously in Winsford on the night of Wednesday, October 28.
A scruffily dressed man, wearing a black tracksuit, a black baseball cap and dirty trainers grabbed the lead of the first victim’s dog and tried to pull her towards him in the Foxfield Lane area.
On the second occasion, he tried to speak to the woman and followed her as she tried to walk away.
Both women were unhurt, but shocked by the incidents.
Police are asking women to be aware of their surroundings at all times and to stick to well-lit areas when they are out walking and where possible, not to go alone.
Anyone who saw anyone matching the description of the offender, or anyone with any information is asked to contact Sgt Tony Jones at Winsford police station on 01244 612594.
Information can also be left anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
