SAFETY is Cheshire Fire service’s top priority this Bonfire Night as it urges people to attend organised events..
Last year, firefighters we called out to 187 incidents on or around November 5 and the fire service is advising families to go to professionally organised bonfire and firework displays.
Phil Hales, head of community safety, said: “People are injured by fireworks or bonfires each year so people should attend organised events where safety is paramount and they can keep their families safe.”
If you are organising a public bonfire, contact the service by emailing the details to feedback@cheshirefire.gov.uk.
Details of all professionally planned events will be on the service’s website cheshirefire.gov.uk.
